Emeralds  have been a source of fascination and reverence in many cultures for over six thousand years,. It was prized  in the markets of Babylon as early as 4,000 B.C. The Incas worshipped the amazing properties of the Emerald. The Chaldeans believed it to contain a goddess. Almost all all major religions of antiquity revered the Emerald for its spiritual power and beauty. The Egyptians considered Emeralds a symbol of eternal life. Called the gift of Thoth who was the god of wisdom.  Emeralds were favored by Queen Cleopatra, and the Emerald mines of  Upper Egypt, which are some of the oldest in the world were named in her honor  for her love of the stone. Emeralds were carried as talismans by some of history’s notables: Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Charlemagne, and the moguls of India, to name a few.
Called the “Stone of Successful Love,” Emerald opens and nurtures the heart and the Heart Chakra. Its soothing energy provides healing to all levels of the being, bringing freshness and vitality to the spirit. A stone of inspiration and infinite patience, it embodies unity, compassion and unconditional love. Emerald promotes friendship, balance between partners, and is particularly known for providing domestic bliss, contentment and loyalty. It was dedicated in the ancient world to the goddess Venus for its ability to insure security in love.

Hold the emerald close to your lips and speak the words you wish to say to an estranged love. After you speak, seal the stone in an envelope. This will help to call them back to you.  If you send the stone to the person as a gift, it will increase the effectiveness.
